What Personal Information (PIO) Do We Collect?
|
Random Mouse Software, hereafter referred to as "RMS", "we", or "the Site",
does collect personally identifiable information (also known as PIO) from
registered members.
This information is used solely to facilitate interactions between registered
members and the codebase that runs this site. PIO is not shared with any third
party. The following is a list of the information collected.
- When registering as a site member: a verifiable email address, so that
any member who violates the Terms of
Use policy may be contacted. This email address may be stored
as a cookie.
Indirectly, we also collect any other information that the member
adds voluntarily to their Member Profile for the express purpose of
sharing the information with other members.
- When purchasing software, or software keys: any information that might
be required by a credit card company, or any other financial transaction
enabler (such as PayPal.com) to complete a financial transaction.
This information may include the member's name, physical address,
phone number, and financial account number and PIN number
(note: no financial account number nor PIN number shall ever be stored
on our server; the information is destroyed as soon as the transaction
is completed--nor shall such information ever be stored as cookies).
- In addition, RMS may in the future log all member information when
signing onto the Site, including but not limited to IP address, URL of the
Web page the member was on before visiting the Site, the member's browser
version, member's registration forms, surveys, cookie data, and any
other communication transmitted through applications on the Site.
RMS reserves the right to use this information to find ways to improve
the member's experience. RMS is the sole owner of the information
collected on the Site. RMS will not sell, share, or rent this information
to others without your express consent.

Third Parties With Whom We Share PIO
|

RMS shares PIO with no third parties. If this ever changes (unlikely) we will
alert registered members by email, provided that for a given member a valid
email address is available to us.

Any PIO collected during the course of a financial transaction is maintained
by us and we reserve the right to store that information indefinitely as a
matter of standard business practice. This information cannot be altered
by registered members. However, they may be able to access their own information
by submitting a written request, accompanied by proof of identity.
Any other PIO collected and stored in a Member Profile can be edited by the
member at any time simply by clicking on the "User Profile" link presented
in the navigation bar when the member is logged in.

A cookie is a string of text stored on the member's hard drive which
contains information about the member and which is sent by your browser
back to the site which issued the cookie each time you revisit that site.
We use cookies to facilitate automatic logins and for prefilling forms
for your convenience. In the future, we may use cookies to track affiliate
sales and referring URL's, to personalize services for members, to track
browsers, to identify the most popular areas of our Site, and to determine
the effectiveness of our promotional activities.

What Happens If Our Privacy Policy Changes?

If our privacy policy changes we will alert registered members to this fact
by email, provided that for a given member a valid email address is available to us.
Material policy changes will either be included in the notification, or a link
will be provided to a page that points out the changes.

To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
