VIEWING A MEMBER DATERPrior to ReviewsIf a member wishes to be reviewed and rated according to the attributes associated with a network (or team) they can enroll themselves into the network. They will then appear on network pages along with other members in the same network (assignment to multiple networks is supported by Review Foundry). Presently we find that stacy appears in the First Dates > Picnickers network. The URL to the public entry point for Kyla's member review pages will be something like: http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/path/to/.../foundry/do/foundry.cgi?module=find_member If she makes her way to the detail page for stacy she should see a page that looks similar to this:
If Kyla has correctly configured Review Foundry for thumbnailing (see the Review Foundry manual page on Thumbnails) the images which appear on the member's detail page (and member profile page) will be thumbnails of the images that member stacy uploaded to her member profile, the original full-sized versions of which can be seen by clicking on the thumbnails themselves. With ReviewsThe area of whitespace on the right of the page below the review submission link is where a graphical summary of ratings will appear once reviews are submitted and approved for the member. In addition to providing the average value for each rating attribute associated with the First Dates > Picnickers network and the member named stacy, a set of ratings averaged over ALL members in the network is also presented so that visitors to Kyla's site can see how well stacy fares in comparison to other members in her class (network). Here is what the page might look like after one review has been approved for stacy and several other reviews have been submitted for other members in her network (or group):
In addition to the "star" rating style (though in the example above our stars are represented as crosses) Kyla has several other choices for representing the ratings. In fact there are 4 styles that come "out of the box" and each of these can be modified if desired by providing replacement images for the component .gif files used to construct each rating style (replacements can be carried out from the Configure control panel):
Member Profile PageIn addition to member detail pages which contain reviews, each member is allocated a Member Profile page that may contain extra member fields that do NOT appear on the detail pages (the Review Foundry webmaster decides which fields appear on both detail pages and Member Profile pages by adding or removing the relevant Template Toolkit tags. To see what the Member Profile page looks like for the member stacy, click here. Note that on the Edit Member Profile page, ALL fields are automatically formatted and displayed. This means that if extra fields are added to the Member table, it is not necessary to do anything to the Edit Member Profile templates to have them show up. Copyright © 2004 Random Mouse Software.
